The Fear Crossroads Story
The Map
I mapped out and modeled my high school campus into a fully Three-Dimensional horror map, equipped with dark hallways, ominous staircases, and tight classrooms.
The Game
Inspired by Mark J. Hadley’s Slender: The Eight Pages, I created a system that places golden spheres in random locations across the campus. The more spheres the player gathers, the more monsters spawn from the shadows.
The Meaning
In order to create Fear Crossroads, I had to learn a brand new program, language, and system of development. I attempted to work in short “sprints” followed by a process log. By the end of development, I had become familiar with Unreal Engine, and much of what it has to offer.
